Welcome to my world! As someone who loves writing and photography, my main mission with this blog is to share stories and ideas, with photos illustrating my ramblings. But since I also love music, nature, travel, cooking, dogs, kids, and humor, you’ll find a little bit of everything here. Occasionally, I’ll even get serious.
I’m hoping to hear from you, too. Please click Blog to see what Iβve been up to, check out my Photos, and send me your comments and links as well.
I started blogging several years ago, took a long break, and jumped back into the fray as I was preparing to make a big move across the country. If you like series, you can read about my move in my blog series, “New Latitude.”
Another series you might like is the one I wrote about a 3-day train trip across the U.S., while sitting and sleeping in a seat (not a sleeper car). That journey is documented inΒ my “Train Tracker” series.
My shameless plugs and their shameless links are highlighted below:
Wordle Poems: A Poem a Day for Wordle Nerds (Books 1, 2, and 3) are available on Amazon in e-book or paperback formats. Each book contains 30 original poems inspired by daily Wordle games. No spoilers!
Standing in the Surf is a photo journal about my trip to the Pacific Northwest area near Seattle known as the Salish Sea. It’s also available on Amazon in e-book and paperback formats.
Many of my photos are available for downloading on Shutterstock.
Thanks for visiting my website!

I was born and raised in Burlington, Washington. About 80 miles north of Seattle. My grandmother spend most of a childhood on Lopez Island. The Salish Sea is pretty close to that area. I’m hoping you had a lot of fun out there.

I did. We spent most of our time on Whidbey, Camano, and Vancouver Islands last time. Thanks for stopping by!

Whidbey Island! Yes, that was my home away from home. Did you walk across Deception Pass Bridge? That’s always a must. You are bringing back memories. π

No, I didn’t walk across the bridge … but I did take lots of pictures there. I’ve just put one on my Photo page (it’s the last one in the June, 2017 group). There are more photos of Whidbey Island in my e-book, Standing in the Surf (shameless plug).

I use to date a girl, way back in another lifetime. We went all over that island. They were making a movie out there. I remember her and I somehow found our way around the actors trailers. The trouble we got in to. π
